The Nu Pi Chapter is a graduate chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, serving Joliet and beyond through scholarship, service, and brotherhood since 1974.

Founded on the campus of Howard University on November 17, 1911, Omega Psi Phi is the first international fraternal organization founded at a historically Black college. Its founders, Edgar Amos Love, Oscar James Cooper, and Frank Coleman, with faculty adviser Dr. Ernest Everett Just, built the Fraternity on four Cardinal Principles that still guide the men of Omega today.
Nu Pi Chapter carries that charge in Joliet. Since our chartering in 1974, the brothers of Nu Pi have awarded scholarships, mentored young men, and answered the call of service across Joliet and the Tenth District.
